The Pleasant Cafe has been specializing in Italian and American food since the late 1930s. All of our sauces, dough, soups, gravy are made daily in house. We are known for our pizza which brings in customers from all over New England. Hand rolled thin crust cooked to perfection with a cheese blend that was shredded that day from a large block of cheese. What could be better? Bring the whole family, dine happily and leave without breaking the bank.

You can not simply do any better. I've been going for all my life. I no longer live in Roslindale, but I do take a car service back and forth. We would mostly do pizza, but a hamburger was always at the ready.
Haven't been in over 20 years and it hasn't changed! Brought back memories going with family when I was young. Great service, great food!
Whenever I'm in Boston I must go to the Pleasant. It hasn't changed since my childhood, and it so comforting to visit the 'neighborhood' place. It brings back many memories of dinners with my deceased parents, and family. The food is really good and it's unique -- it's a bit of an anachronism. I love the Pleasant and I hope it will endure for a long, long time.
