Grant was right on time and found the major cause of noise on closing the door. The drive chain was loose and dragging on the top of the door as it closed. This was caused by wear on the drive gear, as our opener is 19 years old. He made an adjustment to the chain, lubricated moving parts and checked the tension on the springs. Grant was motivated and helpful as he explained future options for replacement of the opener.

Of course the spring broke on a Friday night. A returned phone call early on Saturday AM with an appointment time was a great relief. Reese showed up earlier than the appointment, yeah! Reese was quick, efficient, polite and really seemed to know what he was doing. When asked questions, he was happy to respond. Would I recommend Plano Overhead Garage Door? You betcha! It's true; Plano Overhead Garage Door provided fast, professional and courteous service. Our technician, Corey Swan, installed a torsion-spring system to replace our outdated and dangerous springs. The outdated lift system consisted of 2 springs; one on each side of the door. One of them snapped and broke as I was closing the door. We had Plano Overhead Doors install a new Lift Master opener this morning. From the call with Melissa to the installation with Matt Johnson, everything was handled very professionally and with outstanding customer service! Within 25 minutes of my call to Melissa, Matt was at our house! Needed service on our garage door and came across Plano Overhead Garage Door on a Google search. Saw the great reviews so I called to make an appointment. Called on Friday, and had the appointment first thing Monday morning. EJ, was on time and very professional. Did a great job and was done in about an hour. Very pleased with the service and the work. I would highly recommend them, and would definitely call them again if I needed to.
Will Rhodes came for the purpose of installing an external key pad for the garage door. That he did in short order. While here, he did a thorough check of the rollers, springs, tracks and hinges for both doors. One was found to not centered properly, causing him to have to re-align the tracks. All of that was included in the routine service call fee. The door works better than ever. I'm a faithful customer of Plano Overhead for reasons like this one. Thanks, Will!
