Thank you to all of our loyal customers and greetings to those of you who are just now finding us. We have had the pleasure (and sometimes headaches) of being in the hospitality business for over 30 years. We are continuing in our tradition of presenting wonderful ingredients and offering a world class collection of Wines, Ports and Madeira to match. best Indian food in the northwest – I wanted to do something nice for my wife of three years for our 3rd anniversery. I made a reservation at Plainfields and was blown away. the atmosphere was very pleasent. the food was great, and the service was beyond what i expected. thanks plainfields, i will be a faithful customer for many years to come.
Very nice establishment! Would recommend. – We have never tried Indian food and happened to run across this establishment on the way back to California. It's not too far from I-5. We didn't know what to order, but the server recommended 3 reaally wonderful chicken dishes. (I love chicken.) The service was friendly, the server was informative, and the experience was on of a kind. I highly recommend. The owner was charming. Not sure what people are griping about. We were seated promptly. Very good experience.
Great Indian food. Nice place to bring family. – 2nd time eating at Plainsfield Mayur. Quaint place with nice decoration. We ordered 3 dishes for under $50 and still some to take home. This is a meal for 3 people. Can't beat that. The food was delicious. The waitstaff tries extra hard to make the evening a delightful one, and it was. Good work Plainsfield. Nice change of ownership.
Awesome and fun authentic food. A must to try for yourself! – The BEST Indian food ever. I luv luv luv the velvet butter chicken. The sauce was Intensley velvety and buttery... Amazing Lamb and Lobster Dishes! – Wow! I can't believe I've lived in portland for so long and only stumbled onto this treasure recently! I'd never even heard of it. I mean why is it called Plainfields? That doesn't sound Indian at all! So anyways, my receptionist had recently tried it out and was raving about it saying that i HAD to try it out. One of a Kind!!! – If you want to have a truley excellent dining expierience, then Plainfield?s Mayur Restaurant is the place! I have never been a big fan of Indian food, but this place is amazing. Really Odd Experience – We recently had dinner at Plainfields and had a really odd experience. Being greeted at the door is always a pleasure, but I don't need for the owner to tell me she owns the place. It made my friend and I feel really weird. She struggled opening a bottle of wine for us, which was again odd. Wouldn't you think an owner can provide proper service? The food was really good--- we had a veggie and vegan dish. Na-an was oily and cold; veg dish so so, not the best. – Nice location, but the veg dishes were so-so. I arrived early so maybe the place wasn't rolling yet.
Oustanding food and service! THANKS PLAINFIELDS! – GREAT experience! I had the pleasure of coming in for dinner this past Sunday and have an outstanding time. My server was knew the menu very well, recommending outstanding dishes for me and my friend to try.
