Thank you to all of our loyal customers and greetings to those of you who are just now finding us. We have had the pleasure (and sometimes headaches) of being in the hospitality business for over 30 years. We are continuing in our tradition of presenting wonderful ingredients and offering a world class collection of Wines, Ports and Madeira to match. Plainfields Mayur under new ownership – I just visited Plainfields website and there is an announcement that Craig Plainfield has re-taken over operations of the restaurant. We posted a review a few days ago based on our experience in June. Many people in our circle have gone to Plainfields over the years and had wonderful experiences. Yikes – Food was not as good as many other indian options in PDX, too expensive, service was exceptionally poor.
THANKS! WE ENJOYED THE MEAL. – Hey, not a bad place to eat if you want to bring your family. It's upscale for sure. From the decor to the dishes. I enjoyed the experience. I recommend the chicken dishes and the masala.
Treated us very special – My boyfriend and I went here on my birthday in July . We'd seen online that they stay open until 10pm on weeknights. It turns out they are only open until 9pm, but they stayed open for us! And they treated us very special too. The food was amazing. My boyfriend is an Indian food connossieur and he loved it. Nice date spot – The food is good, the service nice and the menu diverse. The price is a little high, but worth it for the atmosphere. Don't sit in the back because it's cold. It's not as crammed as India Grill and more upscale than Swagat. Overall, nice place to bring a date.
Excellent Indian Restaurant – For excellent Indian food and a delightful dining experience, head to Plainfield's Mayur. The restaurant specializes in traditional preparations taking full advantage of available local organic and sustainably produced ingredients. Tell your friends; support the new owner commited to delivering quality and good taste at this venerable Portland establishment. Our family enjoyed dinner at Plainfield's this evening. Loser comment. – I am not a loser. Losers are people who go online and post fake reviews about their establishments in hopes that people will come. Losers are owners so desperate for business they go to these extremes to pull in "clients". Sad. Don't dine here or waste your money. Bombay Cricket club is fantastic!!!
"Straight out of India" kind of food!!!!!!!!! – From the moment i walked through the door i it was made sure of that i was completely happy. I felt pampered, unlike most of the Indian restaurants i have been to. The food here is phenomenal. The service is great.
