Thank you to all of our loyal customers and greetings to those of you who are just now finding us. We have had the pleasure (and sometimes headaches) of being in the hospitality business for over 30 years. We are continuing in our tradition of presenting wonderful ingredients and offering a world class collection of Wines, Ports and Madeira to match. Treated us very special – My boyfriend and I went here on my birthday in July . We'd seen online that they stay open until 10pm on weeknights. It turns out they are only open until 9pm, but they stayed open for us! And they treated us very special too. The food was amazing. My boyfriend is an Indian food connossieur and he loved it. Nice date spot – The food is good, the service nice and the menu diverse. The price is a little high, but worth it for the atmosphere. Don't sit in the back because it's cold. It's not as crammed as India Grill and more upscale than Swagat. Overall, nice place to bring a date.
Excellent Indian Restaurant – For excellent Indian food and a delightful dining experience, head to Plainfield's Mayur. The restaurant specializes in traditional preparations taking full advantage of available local organic and sustainably produced ingredients. Tell your friends; support the new owner commited to delivering quality and good taste at this venerable Portland establishment. Our family enjoyed dinner at Plainfield's this evening. Loser comment. – I am not a loser. Losers are people who go online and post fake reviews about their establishments in hopes that people will come. Losers are owners so desperate for business they go to these extremes to pull in "clients". Sad. Don't dine here or waste your money. Bombay Cricket club is fantastic!!!
"Straight out of India" kind of food!!!!!!!!! – From the moment i walked through the door i it was made sure of that i was completely happy. I felt pampered, unlike most of the Indian restaurants i have been to. The food here is phenomenal. The service is great. Great indian food and dining experience – Great vegetarian fare and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is located so close to PGE park that dinner and a game can be had within walking distance of one another.
used to be our favorite place – Plainfields was always a special place for us and our family members visiting from out of town. The last couple of times we called to make a reservation we were unable to get anyone on the line. Finally we decided to just show up and order food to take home. the best Indian food I've ever had – The restaurant could have used some air conditioning, and the waiter could have been a little more on top of things, but this was seriously the very best Indian food my husband and I have ever had. We're already talking about going back... again and again and again. Who knew okra could be so delicious!
