Thank you to all of our loyal customers and greetings to those of you who are just now finding us. We have had the pleasure (and sometimes headaches) of being in the hospitality business for over 30 years. We are continuing in our tradition of presenting wonderful ingredients and offering a world class collection of Wines, Ports and Madeira to match. Full of suprises. Not good ones! – My dinner this past weekend was full of suprises, not the ones you would like when going out to eat. My wife and I had dinner reservations for our anniversary. Plainfield's USED to be our favorite place to come and enough some classic Indian food. Our server did not know the menu well enough when we asked about Vegan items. A Hole in the Wall Location with Good Atmosphere and Food – Wow, I'm glad I stopped by this place, but I might have just missed it if I hadn't missed a turn. This cute restaurant is right off the freeway and tucked at the end of a busy street. We decided to eat here as the place looked so exotic. Seattlites should visit this place – Really good food. The Indian food in Seattle don't quite compare to this one. They offer quite the bank for the buck both quality and quantity. It's like one of those places you might find on Greenlake. It's in an old mansion. The air is a bit thick on warm days, but the aroma of the food helps to make it better. The food is to die for.... – The service was friendly. I can tell the owner is new but learning fast. She was honest about it. No big deal. No long waits, just happy staff. Can tell they get along well. The staff was very welcoming. Poor lady, after getting all my food I wanted to sit outside in the patio. She was pretty nice about it too. The food is exceptional. My new local favorite for Indian! – I come to Portland often for business. Last week was my first time at Plainsfield Mayur. The food was amazing! I'll definitely come again.
Good social atmosphere, good food – My friend and I were at Plainsfield Mayor on Saturday night. We didn't have reservations and it was busy. it didn't take too long before we got a table and was seated though. We had the Baingan Bharita for appetizers. It's amazing how much they give you. best Indian food in the northwest – I wanted to do something nice for my wife of three years for our 3rd anniversery. I made a reservation at Plainfields and was blown away. the atmosphere was very pleasent. the food was great, and the service was beyond what i expected. thanks plainfields, i will be a faithful customer for many years to come.
Very nice establishment! Would recommend. – We have never tried Indian food and happened to run across this establishment on the way back to California. It's not too far from I-5. We didn't know what to order, but the server recommended 3 reaally wonderful chicken dishes. (I love chicken.) The service was friendly, the server was informative, and the experience was on of a kind. I highly recommend. The owner was charming. Not sure what people are griping about. We were seated promptly. Very good experience.
Great Indian food. Nice place to bring family. – 2nd time eating at Plainsfield Mayur. Quaint place with nice decoration. We ordered 3 dishes for under $50 and still some to take home. This is a meal for 3 people. Can't beat that. The food was delicious. The waitstaff tries extra hard to make the evening a delightful one, and it was. Good work Plainsfield. Nice change of ownership.
