I'm reading the one star reviews here, and they just don't track with my experiences, and it makes me wonder if we went to the same place or if maybe a lot of people think their pet is a car and not a complex living organism. At any rate, my experience, so far, as we are not out of the woods yet nor may we ever be, has been very positive. My dog, Lily, a rescue whom I have had for 9 years and could be anywhere from 11-15, was fine until about a week or so ago, when she start...Continue Reading
Although I was here 2 years ago and had a pleasant experience then, things are much different today. I chose to bring my cat here because he has not eaten for 3 days and is throwing up bile..i am still here.. 7 hours later..they did xrays and blood work but still can't find anything..if i chose to keep him overnight so they could give him i.v. fluids it was going to cost me $1500.. no problem except my only credit card on me had only $1100 left in credit so I told them to just give him fluids under the skin and discharge him... read more
My beautiful Sheltie girl, Onry, went through 6 months of chemotherapy, and thanks to Dr. Newman and my local veterinarian, Dr. Ford at Buckeye Run, she has been cancer free for well over a year. Thanks so much!
We had to take our dog there for an emergency visit on a Sunday afternoon, and were pleased with the service. They got her into triage quickly, the vet was good with the dogs, friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend it.
After months of emergency visits for anaphylaxis reactions we finally scheduled an apt with derm/allergy. To our surprise, no allergy testing would be performed only an injection to mask the itching. The next time my dogs face is swollen and covered in hives I will not be bringing him back to this place. Considering he is a brachycephalic breed we cannot risk another reaction. We will be taking our veterinary needs elsewhere. To say we are disappointed is an understatement.
Our 5 year-old very anxious Great Dane, Ruby, loves it here. She started going here a few weeks ago for a new diagnosis of osteosarcoma in her front leg, and despite needing IVs and general anesthesia for radiation therapy she comes home happy and clearly well-cared for. We're very lucky to have this group of exceptionally trained experts in our back yard. Thank you PVSEC for taking such good care of our baby girl.
We've never had anything but the best care of our Labradoodle Shadow. He has been on chemo for months; He gets infections all the time and they always have the answer. We call them, they call back. We always get a call from them when the blood work is in. We have that done here in Morgantown to save the 3hr round trip to PVSEC. We are hoping for many more months with Shadow, but he does get pretty tired lately. The staff and doctors have been fantastic. Shadow loves them all and so do we.
