Wish i had read this sooner! As we had 2 awful experiences with this place! Pet had surgery on leg for a tibial fracture. We brought him.in as he chewed at the Bottom part of the cast and i could smell an awful.smell.coming from the foot. Well needless to say i bring him in and put a makeshift splint on him until he can be seen. The dr. Comes in after seeing him and throws the splint at me! She tells me i let him chew his foot and cause these wounds. Umm no it was from the pressure of the cast. Once i ask for another dr. And... read more

Our 2 working “therapy” dogs were given complimentary eye screenings @ this facility. This was our first time there & we were very impressed w/everything we saw. The staff was super friendly & the doctor examining our dogs was very thorough. I would strongly recommend visiting the Pittsburgh Veterinary Speciality & Emergency Center.

They saved my dog's life! We brought Vinnie into the emergency room (Halloween weekend 2016) barely able to walk (he was diagnosed with GME an autoimmune disease that caused fluid to build on his brain), and he is now as healthy and happy as he has ever been! From the first few days when he was staying in the hospital (they really understand that these animals are family and their visiting hours are better than most human hospitals) to our monthly visit with the neurology department (Dr. Kendra and the whole staff are so won... read more

The medical staff was very knowledgeable and supportive. Facility was beautiful and clean. We were kept informed of our dog's care and progress after surgery for the entire length of his stay (he's actually still there but I couldn't wait to give a glowing review). Thanks for saving my pup's life <3

Our 6 year old golden had a tumor on his face after consultations we decided to go with the new radiation. It was just 3 treatments on consecutive days. I’m not going into detail much to painful still. Just let me say his face pretty much fell off. I don’t even think it did anything to the tumor. 6 months later he was gone after trying to heal his face that was constantly bleeding and oozing and that’s putting it mildly. We spent well over 10,000 for false hope. I don’t think anyone really knew the full effects of that much ... read more
