Being a Choice Hotels customer I was contacted by BG with an offer to view their resort locations to see if this was anything we were interested in. I thought for $99 for two nights it was not bad as we were close. Checking in we were told that we were staying at a hotel near the resort. OK, we went to the hotel (2 star at best) and were told we needed to pay for the resort fee and taxes. Found out that this stipulation was in the very fine print. Let me start by saying 2016 we done a tour of the blue green resort in Charlston Sc. At the time we didn't buy anything. August of last year we where in bass pro shop and they offered us another vacation. I was up front and said we was there in June, the guy said that is no big deal people usually buy one a year. he ran all my numbers and my name and said you aren't flagged so that means you are eligible to purchase another one. I have had nothing but a positive experience with this company. My family loves our ownership. Even in the times we have had obstacles they have been nothing but accommodating.

In reading some of your responses to the dissatisfied ownersyou state that you do not care about the ones who are unhappy b/c you have many who are happy, and you have over 250,000 customers.. This would explain why, when booking a vacation there is hardly any availability. Also why do you lie to your owners when trying to sell them more points? I was told our maintenance fees would not go up if I purchased more points b/c of him backdating something that had changed and when I got into the finance dept. I found out that wa... read more

My husband and I purchased from Bluegreen in February of 2015 in the New Hampshire location. We went to the presentation and it seemed great. We were offered 2 free airline tickets-(which we were note able to use) and 3 seven day certificates for vacations at resorts for $250 if we signed up that day. We should have known at that point it something was not right. We purchase 10,000 points for every 2 years which basically gets you - a 3 night stay at a resort off season once a year (maybe). I became a blue green member in November of 2014. I bought an $8600(3000) point membership. I shared this membership with my exwife. We divorced about a year later. We agreed to share our blue green membership. I would use 1500 points. She would use the other 1500 points. My exwife went out and bought another blue green membership on her own while we were divorced. Blue green allowed her to link her new account to our shared account which meant i was paying taxes and maintenance on an account I never signed for or consented ... read more

We've been Bluegreen owner's for over 10 years now and we LOVE Bluegreen! We love it so much that 3 of our family members are now owners because they saw us using our timeshare so often and they saw the places that we'd been to! We've been able to maximize our vacations with Bluegreen through using our points, our bonus time, our hot weeks getaways and have even exchanged through RCI once when needed to! Absolute thieves. Check out the many lawsuits filed against them every year before you get swindled into a huge mortgage for something you can rarely if ever use. These crooks are fraud experts. Fortunately they only stole 800 dollars from me. Most of their victims get swindled for tens of thousands.

I recently went through the sales pitch at Blue Green Resorts. I wouldn't sign until I knew more about the company. Looking at BBB for reviews and concerns is a great place to start. After reading all of these reviews and also seeing over 750 customer complaints. There is no way I would purchase from this company. They tried the sales pitch on me and even from their Manager, buy today to get the "special package". I'm so glad I did look into them further before purchasing.
