Bluegreen sure seems friendly, and talks a good talk, but they are very sneaky. They tried over and over and over again to try to sell us on their package. First it started that it would be about $6000 down, and $800+ a month for 20 years, which I quickly shot down, as that's more than I pay for rent a month. Then they kept dropping the price, about 4 times, until I finally convinced them, I have plans to buy a house in the near future and a kid on the way, so it wasn't something I was interested in. I have been a member since 2013? they started off nice and helpful and before you can leave the building them horns start showing, down hill from there. The points increased and I wasn't able to book a vacation longer than 2-3 days, plus everything stayed booked. There for a while I was paying out of pocket to book a trip with my own vacation resort. We took a 3 night 4 day vacation through bluegreen knowing we were required to attend a 110 minute sales pitch for their vacation program. The program turned into an over 3 hour nightmare of pressure to buy. They push and push claiming this is your only opportunity to buy in with a ridiculous interest rate of over 16%!!! Others we talked to were offered plans at 22%!!! Check reviews first! We did not and almost got this. I unfortunately have a membership with BLUEGREEN. We should have followed our gut with this one since the promotional trip to sell this to us was a real bust.(Nasty room and poor experience getting booked in.) Now every time we try to use our points the areas are booked up but they can always find us a more costly method or one that uses almost all our points. I purchased a sampler vacation package. Buyer beware. The beach resorts are not available at all during travel times. The Savannah location was not available for a YEAR. this was a complete waste of money. If i cannot vacation when/where i want to, what is the point. Seems like the old bait and switch. Advertise the great destinations and then magically none of them are available. They will not refund my money. Lesson now learned. STAY AWAY!

So far my experience has been a nightmare and we haven't even left for our initial getaway. During the initial high pressure sales pitch I was told this was an upscale vacation club. We were offered a three day getaway and have learned that the accommodations offered on the getaway are all basically 2 star flea bag motels that we would never consider staying in. My wife and I took advantage of a three day stay at B/G in Lincoln, NH. The stipulation was, of course, that we attend a two hour presentation /interview with the goal of creating a willingness on our part to become a buyer of their vacation plan. We had attended this type of business invitation with two or three other similar companies, and the experience was not pleasant, since these other firms exerted somewhat severe pressure to buy a plan, and most of these past experiences created enough stress to make the deal unpalat... read more

I can comment on customer service and the *average* need for vacationing: CUSTOMER SERVICE: We DID NOT have a single issue with our check-in to our hotel stay deal that we purchased at discount because of the timeshare offer. We LOVED to mini vacation we took. The presentation was very company-positive and gave positive information, but was more based towards those people who must vacation often enough annually. My husband and I bought a vacation package from a Bass Pro Shop and the guys at the shop were very nice. the first couple of representatives that I spoke to were also very pleasant. My problem was with the representative that my husband spoke to. When I called to confirm my vacation the girl I spoke to told me that since the reservation was under my husband's name, he either had to add me on to the account, or call himself to confirm the reservation.
