DON'T DO IT DONT EVER BUY FROM THEM. This a horrible company to work with never buy from them even the sample packet, they preached all about family and spending time with them how can you if you can't never book a room. The maintenance fees hit you around the holiday times and I was hit with maintenance fees twice. Within 4 months of each other within the same year first time was $350 second time $733 all with 4mths of each other. How are they able to help you take family vacations and spend time together? I went to a Bluegreen Resort and went through the Timeshare session and got a 7 night stay as a gift for attending. I went to book a place to stay around 7 months in advance and they had absolutely NOTHING available. The guy on the phone was rude and kept repeating the same thing over and over that it depended on availability. But there is nothing available. At a PBR event in Tacoma WA, We were talked into purchasing a 3 night stay at their resort in Las Vegas that included World Final PBR tickets to the night of our choosing. All we had to do is show up for their 2 hour talk about buying into their time share. We knew going in it's never just a couple of hours. Our room was very nice though. In late September, 2017 I was booking a room with a Choice Hotel in Sevierville, TN. and was transferred to a Blue Green Vacations representative. The rep told me I could save money by booking my vacation with them. I told him I needed a handicapped room which he said, would not be a problem. In May 2017 my husband and I visited Bass Pro Shop and was approached by a Bluegreen travel representative. We agreed to visit Big Cedar in Branson MO for a 90 minute sales pitch and $350.00 cash; upon completing the sales pitch meeting we would earn $150.00 in gift cards. Our family arrived at Big Cedar in July 2017 and attended our sales meeting. This business is a total scam they will tell you that you won a completely paid for vacation and this and that . they wont take no for a answer . They switch you through two or three different salesman and talk you in to paying 198.00$ reservation fee and tell you that you will get it right back when you get to resort for food voucher . We decided to do it , hey 3 free vacations for 198.00 sounds to good to be true my gut was telling me not to do it. My wife and I purchased a Bluegreen timeshare in 2010 with 10,000 points every other year (which actually comes out to 5,000 every yearmore on this in a moment). Like others, I was approached in a Bass Pro shop with what seemed like a great deal: go on a weekend getaway a couple of hours from home, then get gifts totaling the amount paid (Bass Pro gift certificates). In April 2017 I was making a telephone reservation with Choice Hotels, and at the end, I was switched to BlueGreen but had no idea what they were and I thought I was still with Choice. I was immediately pressured into making a reservation which at the time seemed like a good deal but in fact was a bait and switch scam. I wasn't advised about attending the required presentation until after the reservation was made. We recently bought into the unkept promises of Bluegreen vacations. We bought in June 2017 and were assured that we could get an all inclusive with the amount of points that we purchased. We started up front telling the man we spoke to and who sold us this that we were interested in mostly cruising and all inclusives. WE were assured with the amount of points we purchased that it would cover it thru the RCI exchange.
