This company scammed us in the grossest way. We even wrote them a letter back in April to explain everything, and they think, after one email from someone named ****** from "Customer Care Management," we should be satisfied?? We were lied to about every aspect of the "deal" they made for us. They led us to believe that we would be able to book at any resort with the amount of points they eventually talked us into purchasing and that the maintenance fees for our ownership would be reasonable. Bluegreen is a scam. They sell you a story that seems legitimate that plays directly on your emotions. Their game is to make you think "paying them to get discounts to vacation travel" is worthy of fees and dues you owe them. In fact, their advantage is nothing. You end up paying them an exorbitant amount of money and get nothing in return or in any such "discounts". Here's the best analogy to describe their service -- You pay them to put money away for vacations, then pay normal pricing for lodging + airfare at no discount ... read more

I have been a Bluegreen owner since 2005 we've made several attempts to use our timeshare going to a variety of locations such as Manhattan, NY, Savannah, GA, New Orleans, LA and Shenandoah Valley. During each attempt we were told it's unavailable we try to schedule with a year's notice and still we were met with the same response. BE WARNED!!! So far I have not taken my trip with them but my credit card put me on the phone with them to get this FREE trip for 150 dollars. After booking they say it only requires a 2 hours presentation attendance. I am now booking and they say that taxes and fees are charged... So NOT FREE. I have the chance to UPGRADE to their specific resort instead of a partner hotel. If I do that its 40 dollars a night instead of the 52 dollars a night in taxes and fees at a partner hotel. I am a blue-green owner since 1999. Every so often they contact you for a discounted several nights stay at one of their facilities to try and sell you more points. They called us one evening and we had what we thought was a perfect opportunity. Gatlinburg is close to where my wife's family is from, we decided to go ahead and get the package. So my girlfriend and I bought a vacation from Bluegreen Vacations at one of their kiosks in Bass Pro Shops in the Fall, after confirming multiple times that it was no issue that we weren't living together, and that combined we meet both their age and income requirements. We signed up for Bluegreen about 10 years ago. It has been a horrible experience. It's impossible to book a room. Even when we try 8 to 10 months out, they don't have any availability
