Though not as large as the Sky Harbor International Airport, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport functions as a regional airport for those who want to fly on a budget airline. Formerly known as Williams Gateway Airport, it is definitely convenient for residents of the East Valley as well. The only airline that services Gateway is Allegiant Airlines, but it has several low-cost routes around the country. Additionally, the airport has a few car rental companies located in the main terminal.

Stuck on the plane, broken ramp, you think they would know that before using it!!! Only been sitting here for 15 minutes waiting to get off so I guess lucky ha
This airport is terrible they changed my flight on me 2 times and only alerted me once so i missed my flight. Then i had a medical issue and was in a wheelchair just to get up to the plane and they refused to let me fly and kicked me off because i didnt have a hand written note from a doctor. Fyi doctors dont hand write notes anymore. I will never fly through this airport ever again they will violate your rights and they have no respect.
Landed over an hour ago and still waiting on luggage. This will always be a third rate airport no matter how much money they pour into it.

I love the convenience of this airport and allegiant airlines. But we were treated rudely by the staff. We were traveling with out 7,5, and 3 month old. As we moved through security we were very efficient but the staff was so rude and unfriendly.

Overhearing passengers complaining that they have been waiting over an hour for their luggage, Phoenix/Mesa Gateway/allegiance get it together!!!! Sat for 20 minutes on the Tarmac waiting for gate crew, then entered Hell in the terminal, about 4 flights waiting for baggage, here 30 minutes, no sign of any baggage activity. Boo.
20 minutes of traffic to get into parking lot. Baggage not being delivered. Hundreds of people waiting for bags an NO bags being delivered at all from multiple flights. Sky Harbor is much better....

45 minutes to go thru security only 2 persons checking tickets, realize that it was 1pm but only a few flights leaving 1 to 2:30 pm
Clean, easy to navigate and a fantastic courtyard with patio furniture and cactus to sit on while waiting (that is, sit on the patio, not the Cacti!)
There seem to be many negative ratings for this airport and Allegiant Airlines - I disagree with all of them. I have used this airport a great deal and have found all staff from airport personnel to Allegiant to TSA all friendly and responsive. Additionally, none of my numerous flights have been delayed out of this airport. The only negative I could think of is that it does, at times, take a long time to wait for checked baggage.
