Though not as large as the Sky Harbor International Airport, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport functions as a regional airport for those who want to fly on a budget airline. Formerly known as Williams Gateway Airport, it is definitely convenient for residents of the East Valley as well. The only airline that services Gateway is Allegiant Airlines, but it has several low-cost routes around the country. Additionally, the airport has a few car rental companies located in the main terminal.

Always a good experience. I fly in/out of gateway monthly and it's much better than most.
I think they have one person working the baggage claim for all of these flights. Took an hour and a half.
Waiting over an hour for luggage. There has to be a better process to get luggage 200 yards, it is not that big of an airport.
The most rude staff and TSA agents I have ever encountered.
It's Allegiant Air that gives the airport a bad name. TSA just announced they have three people running to the gate but still the gate agent closed the door because she had the "power" to do so. What ever happened to friendly customer service. Allegiant need to offer training. We're still sitting here for our 2 hour delayed departure with NO explanation. Thank God Southwest will start a non stop from Wichita to Sky Harbor next month!!!!!
After I pay a extra $100 for my luggage I'm about to board my plane on the way to my destination they tell me there is no baggage only a carry on so I end up loosing my luggage with all of my belongings for good . So I call and the give me a $100 voucher that I end up having to use to reschedule my return flight because they decided to take off early and cause me to miss my flight. I will never fly with allegiant air ever again and highly recommend that no one else dose either .
Much more manageable than the main airport. No frills, small airport to big airport is how Allegiant operates... Everything ala carte. 3 out of 4 segments had delays of 30 minutes to 2 hours in our experience.
Worst experience ever!!! First, waited over a hour to get our luggage, than went to see about calling for a taxi and was told they are available outside only to find none!! Waited 20 minutes for one finally called and was told they have them available at airport I told him none were here, he said 15 to 20 minutes and well over a hour.. Went inside to talk to them again about taxis and they walked away, it was their break time.. Every taxi that showed up was a Prius and with 4 people and 4 bags no one would take us
