Though not as large as the Sky Harbor International Airport, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport functions as a regional airport for those who want to fly on a budget airline. Formerly known as Williams Gateway Airport, it is definitely convenient for residents of the East Valley as well. The only airline that services Gateway is Allegiant Airlines, but it has several low-cost routes around the country. Additionally, the airport has a few car rental companies located in the main terminal.

Flew to wichita. Flight delayed 3 hours, but the airport itself was fine. Flight attendants on allegiant, not so much. More concerned with gossiping amongst each other.
Close to Johnson Ranch and communities in the east valley.
This was my second bad experience at PMG I prechecked in online and for my luggage, showed up to give my bag to airline so I could get through security and there were no staff for over an hour anywhere in the terminal! No one to get information from no one to assist people find out where to go for what, no one organizing line ups. I love this airport. The TSA are so courteous and efficient. I have not had one bad experience. Super kind professional people who care!
Mesa Williams Gateway airport is a great airport that have all types of aircraft that fly's in and that they also have a nice viewing area to where you can watch the aircraft land and take off.
Just to far to drive , Wish they would fly into Sky Harbor airport Dam .. It's just to far when you live up north to try an find a ride back up North when you get back .

Beautiful facility. Friendly people everywhere. Not sure why beverages were only at food places, after security.I kind of get it. The checkpoint people were very friendly. Announcements of forgotten items were loud and clear.
