Though not as large as the Sky Harbor International Airport, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport functions as a regional airport for those who want to fly on a budget airline. Formerly known as Williams Gateway Airport, it is definitely convenient for residents of the East Valley as well. The only airline that services Gateway is Allegiant Airlines, but it has several low-cost routes around the country. Additionally, the airport has a few car rental companies located in the main terminal.

RecommendedSo easy to get around . Wish Alliant had more straight flights to different airports,makes it so convenient. I'll be coming back to Mesa.
The flight was great, easy ride, no issues. The only downside was it took 1.5 hours to get our luggage at 10:30 p.m. It appeared the airport was empty when we arrived and then 3 other planes arrived about the same time. Two grouchy people were unloading our luggage and trying to do crowd control and we were all tired...
I've been flying out of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway for quite sometime and overall have had good experiences. Have I had delays and some other inconveniences occasionally yes, but that's all just part of traveling! Overall it has my vote hands down over the bigger airposts anyday!!
The airport is a nice enough place for being a small airport. It has 2 mini restaurants (one of them well known-\-\Paradise Cafe/Panera) and a mini bar while you are waiting. They also thankfully have charging stations for your mobile phone if you have an electric cord. I have been using PMAirlines for 4 years and my family and friends use it also. I love airline prices, small airline and have not had any major delays or problems. You don't like it, go to Sky Harbor and pay more, use a congested airline and deal with. parking problems. Every airline at some time will have major problems or delays. We are staying with Mesa Gateway!!!
I'm posting this on my sister's behalf... Sad that they like to nickel & dine people for such petty requirments. The weight was under but the length of the same suitcases I originally traveled/left with somehow grew 2" so I got charged!... Now that's ridiculous Phoenix Mesa Airlines!
My son was supposed to fly to Stockton to go visit his dad but was told there was weather issues and because he was under the age of 18 and he was 15 that no one under the age of 18 could fly because of weather issues leaving Phoenix it was sunny and going into Stockton it was Sunday I don't know where the weather is she was it was a sunny day all around so we had to transfer him to land in Fresno
