Though not as large as the Sky Harbor International Airport, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport functions as a regional airport for those who want to fly on a budget airline. Formerly known as Williams Gateway Airport, it is definitely convenient for residents of the East Valley as well. The only airline that services Gateway is Allegiant Airlines, but it has several low-cost routes around the country. Additionally, the airport has a few car rental companies located in the main terminal.

Small airport convenience is nice. Able to park close. Airline directions to terminal left my confused elderly traveler on tarmack and confused what door to go in. On return through TSA I was told I could not accompany her through TSA checkpoint. She did ok but left coat and bracelet at TSA scan. I didn't know until she got to her destination. I was then 2 hours away. Called and left message for lost item. Hoping to hear back but so far nothing. Bracelet in pocket of coat is her favorite costume jewelry item.

Worst service! Always delayed and baggage claim takes about one hour every time!
Small Airport easy to Navigate through...I got a great car and got in and out of Airport very quickly.
Security line took 30 minutes and there was only 10-20 people in line. There was more TSA personnel than customers. Why did it take so long? Could we speed up the process?
Considering how small the airport is, I was very surprised how backed up TSA was. I arrived just after 6 am, and my flight was scheduled to leave at 7:15. Drive there took longer due to unexpected traffic from Glendale. Thankfully other travelers were so amazing. They allowed me to go ahead of them when we got to the scanners and I rushed to the gate just before they closed it. I loved the direct flight---that is the main reason I use Allegiant. RecommendedFlew out of Mesa Gateway for the first time on Westjet to Grande Prairie via Calgary. Found it so much more easy to get around compared to Sky Harbour. Shuttle from Economy parking very convenient. Close proximity to where we reside also so very easy to access. Will use it again as long as Westjet flies there.
The airport is clean and has places to purchase snacks. Comfortable seating. Easy in and out.
First flight into mesa gateway from edmon ton on Jan 21 Service was awesome and the staff at gateway were excellant Will TrAve to gateway in the future Anything to avoid skyharbour Hope west jet adds more flights from calgary and edmonton
