Our door was almost impossible to get into. The cleaning crew constantly left piles of garbage and dirty laundry in hallways. The hotel itself was very humid and warm. There was also a dog convention going on and tons of dogs all around the hotel when this was not warned to us. It smelled like a pet store. For being a "resort" I wasn't very impressed.

Our air conditioner did not work and when we called maintenence he said it feels okay in the room to him so he just left. Making my fiancé and I run across the street to buy a fan. We had dinner at jambalaya, HORRIBLE SERVICE. We rarely saw our waitress, and when we got our food it was horrible, it was frozen in the middle, and I asked for a well done burger, that came back medium rare. With room service in the morning, my potatoes came frozen and uncooked. I will not stay here again unless there is a new cook.

Place needs some care. Room was nice. Mirror only had light bulbs on one side. Dinner at the Jambalaya Restaurant was terrible. Zanies was nice. Service was great. Ambiance was eh.

Short notice booking, with little to no expectations, turned out to be an amazing time. From the staff to the room,everything was perfect. I wish that I could have stayed longer considering how much there was to do there but I guess it just leaves me wanting more and will definitely result in a return visit. Sitting in what used to be the Jambalaya room. It's very sad and plain now. Pheasant Run used to be one of my favorite places, but its losing its charm in the renovations. I wanted to get married here, but it's just not the same :(
