History Established in 2013. Penny's Pit was built from the ground up and is family owned and operated. Ryan and Christina Klundt, along with Christina's father David and sister Nichole started Penny's with minimal savings and income, without any business loans.David came up with the name "Penny's Pit" after Christina and Ryan's pit bull dog Penny. Delicious food every time we go! I've eaten there on several different occasions and service is friendly and food is consistently good. We will return.
We loved every bite and the service was great! We are moving to Rathdrum and I'm excited this will be one of our local spots.
We really enjoy good food, you can tell that by looking at me, lol! This little place is really a hidden treat in Rathdrum. The place is clean, nicely decorated and the service was perfect. We both ordered the Classic Marilyn, medium rare. When the burgers arrived, they were gorgeous, juicy, flavorful, and we ate like sharks in a feeding frenzy! A food coma ensued quickly after that, and it was lights out after we got home. 'Nuff said.
This place is amazing!! Seating can be tight on a busy night BUT 100% worth it!
Every time I visit Idaho, this has been the FIRST stop each time! The burger I really love is the Blue Onion! I can't wait to return and keep trying the rest of the menu! �

Finally decided to come in and try to food only to end up walking out. It took at least 5 minutes for someone to bring us menus, then almost as long to get the water we ordered ( tried to order soda only to find out it was a bottle, which was not mentioned when our drink order was placed ) then as we finally try to order we are told you are out of chicken!
