History Established in 2013. Penny's Pit was built from the ground up and is family owned and operated. Ryan and Christina Klundt, along with Christina's father David and sister Nichole started Penny's with minimal savings and income, without any business loans.David came up with the name "Penny's Pit" after Christina and Ryan's pit bull dog Penny. This was a long time coming! We have been meaning to try Penny's Pit for a while now and we finally tried it and we were very impressed by the quality of their burgers and those amazing fries! Delicious food, and very friendly service. Try this place, you will love it!
Had the pleasure of a Penny's Pit "Presley" mushroom and swiss burger today. Talk about the total package! Fresh sauteed-to-order mushrooms with a little garlic and herbs. You can see the herbs in the photo. Excellent service, server introduced himself and shook my hand and called me by name. 1st rate all the way! I'd rate them somewhere between WOW and BOING! LOL Way to go!
Amazing taste great quality Burger (sandwich) all the way down to the bun (bread)! Just moved to Rathdrum and already found our new spot!
