History Established in 2013. Penny's Pit was built from the ground up and is family owned and operated. Ryan and Christina Klundt, along with Christina's father David and sister Nichole started Penny's with minimal savings and income, without any business loans.David came up with the name "Penny's Pit" after Christina and Ryan's pit bull dog Penny. RecommendedOne of the best hidden gems in Idaho. If you like classic great food, a friendly atmosphere, and all around smiley staff then Penny's Pit is the place to go. Beware this no longer Rathdrums hidden secret so be prepared to wait. They do take orders to go over the phone but again the more that go the busier they get be polite and have patience it's worth it. Owners are amazing

I was in on Saturday for lunch, had a hamburger with blue cheese on it and onion rings, it was the best I have had, I give Penny's Pit 5 stars all around, the service was awesome and the food outstanding,
