I told Pella Windows and Doors that I’d tell everyone that would listen if they denied my claim again. I bought a brand new Pella door from Lowe’s and it has an OBVIOUS manufacturer defect. They installed the glass backward. The brown pane in the window is supposed to face out and the white is to face in. They want $691 to fix it! I would not even give them 1 star but beware they subcontract out and the workmanship is shoddy at best. The two guys that came out a few years ago used saws to cut out my existing windows. With our most recent blizzard things came to light. I discovered the caulking was separating from the windows letting cold air blow in. Frost was coming in the track where the windows sit and slide back and forth but wind was also coming in at bottom and corners. Pella has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in 63 years. Won’t answer the phone or put me on hold and never come back. Stood me up several times on installation without so much as a phone call. Lost a window TWICE. Been waiting since early March now they lost it again even though they told me they had it 2 weeks ago and stood me up again. I fucking hate Pella. They have almost drove me crazy. Not worth it at all.

I have a 20 year old house that had builder grade aluminum windows. They have been falling apart for the last two years. So, after about 18 months of researching replacement windows, I mean in depth research. I checked with big box stores, local & regional window companies, youtube videos, internet searches, google & five other reviews of companies and those door to door 'P@w*r HR6' (Hi I'm in the neighborhood installing windows for your neighbor so many streets over, yada, yada). So very disappointed in Pella! Had a sales rep come to our home. We went over ALL the windows and patio door to be replaced. Coordinated for the windows to be installed before our new siding was to go on. Installation went great, however, my family room window was missed. My rep missed adding the window to my contract. Pella never offered an apology for the mix up, didn't offer a discount so I could get the window. I had to keep calling them just to follow up and in the end was basically told it was my fault. Working with Pella started out great, We worked with their sales person and selected the 250 series for our home in MN. For most of the windows we included the hidden screen option. Windows came in and were installed as promised. Installers were very professional and did a great job of communicating prior and during the installation. Working with Pella windows has been a complete nightmare. Their service is terrible. I was brought up with the belief that if you dont have something nice to say - dont say itbut, I am so frustrated. I had almost all of my windows replaced at a cost of nearly six figures. They offer delay upon delay. When they did arrive to install one particular window it was the wrong size. I purchased over 65 windows and 4 sliding doors from Pella in **** for a home we built. In 2022 I tried to get weather stripping for the sliding doors. They discontinued the weather stripping that fit these doors. My question, that is unanswered, why build a product that cant be serviced during its intended useful life? NEVER, WILL I PURCHASE PELLA PRODUCTS AGAIN.
