I ordered 11 new windows from Lowe's. 8 windows came with NO INSTALLATION HARDWARE. 1 window came with 2 different types of screws! 1 came with the grid installed backwards. 1 came without the exterior sill piece. I went to Lowe's and the pro desk referred me to Pella.i called the Pella number they gave me and was referred to a regional office for my address. Dealing with that office has been a nightmare. Don't do business with them. They are slick and they don't fulfill their obligations.

We have been trying to get Pella windows to not only give us an estimate, but to get an installer out to measure correctly, in order to purchase 9 windows. This is no way to run a business, particularly one with such a fine reputation. On May 13, 2021 the salesman came out to our house and was very professional, took measurements, and answered our questions. i have a house full of pella windows and have had issues with the roll screen for years as well as the french doors as well as window screens for which they dont have parts -it is a great -they send someone out to tell you its broken one charge and then weeks later try to come and fix it but they cant another charge and then another charge to tell you they dont have the parts it is a great service model i am about to rip out all the pella producta and go with anderson after talking to the customer service department it fits ... read more
I would give zero stars if I could. Called Pella in mid-October to replace an external door with a sidelight. Salesman quoted an 8-10 week time to install. Measured Nov 5, 2020, so expected new door by mid-January. No communication from Pella. Finally received an email in Feb stating my install date was Feb. 25. Pella cancelled two days before the install because the door wasn't in the warehouse and now wasn't expected until the end of March. Seriously, they can't track their manufacturing process?! About 25 years ago we bought Pella windows for our home. Within the past few years a few windows have failed but even quality windows can develop issues. The repairman Michael is superb. This complaint is for the lack of customer service in COLUMBIA, SC as well as the Pella Iowa customer service number not routing to Pella Iowa. I also have had bad experiences with the company. It has been over five months now since I first ordered my windows and still the screens haven't been successfully installed. Just this afternoon, at this late date, a technician came to complete the work and discovered that four of the seven screens I'd ordered are either the wrong color or defective. Horrible help expensive sliding glass door with blinds outside glass shattered more expensive to get the one panel than to buy a whole new door. Door missing latch when bought the first door had to buy one the also had no latch had to use the older one. Door only a year old said they were comming out and never did both times.
Had the worst experience dealing with Pella customer service. I purchased numerous Pella doors, windows, screen doors from Lowes for an addition 10 months ago. The reason for my purchasing Pella products was because the web pages of each product stated "Thermastar by Pella® products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty that is one of the best warranties in the business."
