About this business

We cook in a Mugnaini-built wood-burning oven. We use white and red oak for its clean taste, high BTUs (British thermal units) and mild ash bed. All of our pizzas, wings, appetizers, and entrees are cooked to perfection at a consistent 800 degrees. The blaze of the oven leaves its unique mark on all of our foods with a signature charred bubble on the crust of our pizzas, and an addicting caramelized char on our wood-fired wings.

Life is too short for bad pizza, so Peel is the ultimate destination for well-crafted, extraordinary pizza! This is the best pizza of them all, and the Edwardsville location has--and this is saying a lot for me-- THE best crust I've ever eaten. Crisp exterior, light and chewy interior, consistently exceptional. Plus they brew their own beer, have a reputable wine selection, and free soft drink refills. All of this is in a smart, contemporary, yet casual atmosphere, overlooking the star of the show: their brick pizza oven. Al... read more

First of all, thank you PWFP O'Fallon for hosting tonight's Where event. I have never been there before and the hospitality from your staff was outstanding! I was late because I went to your Edwardsville location, but when I tell you that I had the best pizza and wings in my life. Oh my goodness. I will never eat at Pizza Hut or Papa John's again. I work at a downtown STL hotel and will gladly start referring our guests to you. (once rush hour is over). Kudos Peel Wood Fired Pizza. Job well done.

Business response:

Thank you for sharing, Kay! We really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a detailed review.

The pizza was incredible, we had the teriyaki steak pizza. We had a wonderful waiter, Gregory, who made our first visit perfect.

Business response:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience! Have a great weekend, Donna!

My girlfriend and I ate at Peel's. The beer, food and service were outstanding. The server was friendly and very helpful. We had desert which was so delicious. We will be returning in the near future.

At times it can be excellent, others dismal. That alone makes us think twice every time we are choosing which local restaurant to patronize. Wondering when Peel is going to offer a "Fireman's special" for the multiple trips there to save the management from themselves....perhaps a vinyl glazed Pizza, with 'stain' dipping sauce on the side...?

Everything on our first visit last Friday was great! We were nervous to go on a packed Friday night, but we were seated quickly and our food arrived quickly. Pizza, wings, and dessert pizza were all delicious! We are bringing the in-laws when they visit. Glad to have found a great local restaurant!

Took my family today a little after 2pm, left at 3.30 or later, waited a long time for our pizzas and salad. People that came in way after us got their pizzas before us. That will be the last $50 they get from me.
