About this business
We cook in a Mugnaini-built wood-burning oven. We use white and red oak for its clean taste, high BTUs (British thermal units) and mild ash bed. All of our pizzas, wings, appetizers, and entrees are cooked to perfection at a consistent 800 degrees. The blaze of the oven leaves its unique mark on all of our foods with a signature charred bubble on the crust of our pizzas, and an addicting caramelized char on our wood-fired wings.

Very good food. I loved the pizza special with prosciutto, butternut squash, and arugula.It was excellent! (I wood have given 5 stars, but we were charged extra for a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. They called it "cheese & hot pepper flakes", and also brought about 2 tablespoons of flakes that we never asked for! I have NEVER been charged extra for this at ANY restaurant. Please consider changing this policy. It lowered my image of your restaurant.)
I'm glad I gave Peels another chance. Graduation day from SIUE, party of about 8. They got us seated, with ice water in nothing flat. Our waitress was outstanding, didn't forget a thing, drink, to go orders and took orders from three of us at a time!!! The Mac and Cheese is utterly divine, and very filling.

We had to wait but the food was well with it.my husband had pizza he loved it.i had a sandwich and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is wonderful.
