W!L IS AN INCREDIBLE TALENT – W!L is more than a HairDesigner, he's a true Artist one is not bound by the constraints of academia. Rather, W!L has an eye for style and that is a true rare and invaluable quality that many don't share. He's a Visionary in Hair Art- give him Carte Blanche and you walk out on the forefront of the fashion scene. He's a walking example of his work. A+ I will fly him out to wherever I may be - he's worth everything. A priceless talent, a gifted Artist.
Beware of the Salon Canceling on you – My second time going to the salon they canceled at the last minute. I had read it in the reviews, but still gave it a chance. Big Mistake.
Trendy salon! – I've been going to Oxenrose for about 8 months now. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, but a trendy, happening energy. I've been getting my haircut by Margaret, who is young, hip and focused on her trade. If you are looking for a trendy, cutting edge (no pun intended) salon...then Oxenrose is a great place to check out.
Shane Rocks! – Everyone I know had been telling me that I should go to Oxenrose to get my hair done, but I'm lazy and kept dragging my feet. I finally made an appointment with Shane last week and I am so happy. My cut is great. I have super fine, stick straight hair and now I actually have shape and body! My color is fabulous. And it was super affordable. Thanks Shane, you rock!
Fantastic Staff-Wil recommended – I recently had my hair colored and cut by Wil. He is an outstanding stylist! I have had a ton of compliments. The entire staff is very personable and knowledgeable, and there was no attitude which seems to be rampant in San Francisco salons. Additionally, the pricing is very reasonable. While Wil was working on my hair I paid attention to the other stylists work and every single client that was there left with awesome hair. I am thouroghly impressed.
Bad Men's Cut! – I went there to get a stylish men's cut, and I had to wait 20 minutes, even though I was on time for my appointment. I had brought a photo of the cut I wanted, and the stylist said no problem. My cut took 1 hour and 15 minutes, and I would say it looked nothing like the photo - just my original cut, but minutely shorter. I was pretty disappointed. I had to go the next week, and get another cut, because my hair was still too long and not very hip at all. I don't plan on going back.
Surprising Value! – From the ambiance and staff, I thought for sure I'd be paying at least $70 for my cut with Brian. He listened to exactly what I wanted, told me about what he was doing, and did it all right! My cut is hot and was so cheap I almost laughed!
Poor Customer Service – After cancelling my appointment twice, upon arriving the third time they said they had tried to call me but had to cancel again. When I arrived home, not only did I not receive a message cancelling my appointment but my Caller ID showed they never even tried to call me!!!! The snotty receptionist needs an attitude adjustment, and if they are going to continue doing business they need to provide better service to their clients. My hair still looks great! – I really recommend this salon. Wil is very good with curly hair. I got my hair cut by him a month ago and it still looks trim, soft, flowy and manageable. It's not growing out coarse and into a triangular shape like it does usually when I get my hair cut cheaply. The atmosphere is trendy and they play good music.
