*** protested on my own a couple years and this year I tried Ownwell. Last year, the county portal offered me an automated 5% reduction, which I declined. Shortly before my hearing, I received another offer of a 10% reduction which I accepted. This year with Ownwell, they touted a successful protest when they reduced the value by 5%. Which basically tells me that they just settled for the first offer. Im unimpressed with the service and probably wouldnt use them again.

My wife and I used Ornwell to challenge the city and county of their inflated appraised value of our property. ******* WON THE FIGHT and lowered our taxable value; I could not be happier, as they saved us almost $200 per year.I would HIGHLY recommend ******* to anyone that wants to get their accessed values down. I am very pleased with their service. They have a customer for life!!*************************, *****

Absolutely ***************. Two years in a row they failed to reduce my property taxes when everyone else around me was able to reduce theirs significantly. I started to suspect that there was a problem after the first year but I was dumb enough to give them another chance. There was no excuse for what happened this year. Our assessment was facially ridiculous. It should have been a slam-dunk with little effort to get our assessment reduced. Yet Ownwell failed again .. and badly. I was skeptical, but Ownwell was as good as their word, with fantastic customer service. The appeal process takes time, and they keep you posted via site updates and emails.They successfully negotiated a lower amount on our behalf and the fee was fair. They were very patient with my questions, with a personal touch. Thank you, *****!~******* in *******

They said they one and reduced my taxes, then said they were "stomped by a competitor", whatever that means. The deadline to fight is over and my property was taxed 50k higher than last year. SCAM.

Not sure how well we did.. my property tax assessment went up 68% ($174K increase) from last year and they got it reduced by 15% ($26K). I had a second property I protested myself where the appraised value went up 22% ($59K increase) and got that appraisal reduced by 71% ($42K). It appears I was able to get a better result than the professionals.I'm guessing they filed a protest and took what the county offered them without any dispute.
