Horrible customer service. Once they have your money they are near to impossible to contact. I was on hold yesterday for over an hour. Finally had to hang up. Been on hold today for 2 hours and 40 minutes so far. If they didn't have our air itinerary incorrect we'd give up again.
I love this company which also includes Grand Circle Cruise Line. They are amazingly accommodating. As a senior I know my bags will be taken care of and I will be met at the airport by my smiling director upon arrival. And yet the tours are definitely not boring or not challenging. You can do as little or as much as you want or feel capable of. If there is something special you would like to try you can talk to your director and they may be able to arrange it for you. Have traveled with them many, many times and always had great service and a most excellent time!
OAT claims to be solo travel friendly and have free or minimal single supplements...Don't try to go on one of their small boat cruises, however...as they will charge a substantial single supplement and then limit your choices of cabins (unlike couples) so the trip would end up costing you significantly more than the per person cost for a couple. I consider this deceptive advertising

Hi Nancy - Thank you for the feedback. We offer free single supplements on all our land adventures, and a limited number on select small ship adventures.
We went on an amazing trip to SE Asia with OAT - my best memory? They gave us money and the name of a vegetable and sent us to the market by ourselves to find and buy it. The vendors all sitting, dressed in colorful clothes, warm smiles, fresh frogs tied together, skinned snakes - so much more pleasant than shopping at our local supermarkets.
Wonderful company where you get immersed in the local cultures, visiting local homes for a meal, seeing local craftsmen still practicing old ways, visiting schools and much more! Only 10 - 16 on a tour! It's an adventure!
Have done many trips with them and they were all great.
They're the best ! Quality programs and tremendous tour guides.
We have taken many land tours with OAT. I cannot recommend them better! EVERYTHING is first rate. And, many exposures to local culture that you will not get with other tour groups - I know because I have done both. Facebook message me and I will talk about it. GREAT! I have traveled to 72 countries, and the trips with OAT (especially Southeast Asia) have been outstanding!
