It's time to give some credit and a strong recommendation. The trip we are on is Machu Picchu and Galapagos, run by Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT), with the Amazon pre-trip. OAT is affiliated with Grand Circle but emphasizes more traveller activity, as you may have seen. Many thanks to Laura Meurer and to Bonnie Ashe for recommending OAT and Machu Picchu to us, and to Liz Sheppard Seip for strong MP encouragement too. Also, Don and Rose Marie Darde have been telling us interesting things about Peru for over four decades now... read more

Let single travelers get advantage of last minute deals. Guess OAT would rather run empty ships and trips.

We have traveled with other tour companies but O.A.T. is the best by far. The itineraries are so well planned and the guides are extremely knowledgeable. I especially recommend the Ecuador/Galapagos trip.

Every trip is amazing! Just returned from Morocco and it was at the top of the group with Turkey!

I have been traveling with OAT for years, but I am questioning if my next trip is my last. They changed our itinerary swapping a real featured site for something I consider to be not at all on par, and they have done this just a couple of months before the trip so there is no way out. I am very disappointed in this company as they have indicated that they will not do anything about it and it's our problem. This will be my 8th trip with them...could be my last.

A written itinerary was prepared for me with pricing and offer of “free single supplement” charge, a letter was also sent to me saying “Free Single Supplement” yet when I proceeded to book the tour OAT refused to honor their offer and wanted to charge me $1400 extra as a single traveler. Deceptive advertising and offer? It seems that these fake offers are used to lure people
