Norfolk General is ok but they take tooo long to give you anything too eat or drink. If they know the Dr.isnt going to be there over twelve hours at that point see it or feel it from the patients point and feed me. Now the nurses are Angels I know some things they have to do would make a doctor cringe but them nurses will do the nasty job and still have a smile and a friendly conversation for the next patient.
We travelled from Philly and never expected to need medical attention. Such Excellent staff with wonderful bedside manner over the 2016 thanksgiving holiday and weekend. You listened and you reacted to get the medical issue resolved. And kudos to the cafeteria and the warm conversation with Miss Cookie. This is why I'm proud to be a Virginian.
In and out of ER in an hour for acute back pain. Appreciated all of the staff and their compassion while I was in pain.
Checked in on Tuesday Nov 22 for surgery. Checked out on Saturday Nov 26. Overall the experience was satisfactory. Outcome was good. The staff was by and large excellent. Attentive, they listened, they tried to help where they could, they were mostly (mostly) available when buzzed. They were pleasant and did their best to make me feel better. The ER staff were polite and quick. I was surprised to be in waiting room only minutes. In the back, Dr Deal handled every aspect of my care. She did the ultrasound, and she did the procedure the only thing the nurse did was give medication. I am very impressed. :)
Everyone was so nice before and after. Dr. Bak is awesome!
The maternity is amazing. The nurses & doctors are awesome.
When my mother Beverly Neumeister was alive and receiving care at the Heart Hospital, they were awesome with her. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her illness of copd and CHF March 23, 2015 and passed away at SNGH in her sleep. I just wanted to say thank you to all of the doctors and nurses who took care of her when she was there during her many hospital stays, up until the end. It has been well over a year since she's passed on, but I will forever be grateful for the wonderful care she was given.
