once in, its fine...but trying to park to get in is a hassle

I had surgery on my neck and was taken very great care of by the entire staff from being checked in till my discharge.. Thanks to everyone involved with the surgery and the staff on unit 6 K..
I'm starting a training program in January and had to get my photo ID. Never been to the hospital before, but found every person I asked questions regarding where to go more than helpful and very friendly. The volunteer up front guided me to the elevators that were hard to find thru construction, the person working the table on the floor, and the security personnel were all super friendly and approachable. Great job!
Although spending Christmas Eve in the ER, and having surgery on Christmas day was not what I would have chosen, I was lucky to be taken such good care of at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Every member of the staff was wonderful. The nursing staff on the 4th floor, the OR staff, and the staff in recovery were the best. My surgeon, Dr. Colen, didn't get upset that I interrupted his holiday. Thank you!
I was given very quick, sincere care! The response by both the nurses and the doctor was very impressive! I was treated like a VIP and it made the situation so much more tolerable!
They need to communicate more with their patients. Possibly keep the ones in the waiting room at little more aware of the horrible waiting issues.
He has been a wonderful Hospital and I would recommend that anybody with any medical issues emergencies or otherwise make sure that they come to Norfolk Sentara the staff has been great the nurses have been awesome as have the caregiver and the charge nurse on every shift and thanks to all of those at Norfolk Sentara for all their kind words they're kind of and their blessings
