This is the best hospital I the Norfolk VA area. I don't want to go to any other hospital..
This hospital has come a long way in their customer service and patient care over the years. It's not a place you choose to visit, but when you need it, be grateful the knowledge and training is there for you.
Had visit with ENT surgeon, Dr. BAK and his Intern. Very thorough and pleasant doctor. Went to great lengths to explain everything to me and he was on time for the appointment. Construction was in process to the new hospital wing next to Riverpoint Plaza but did not create any problems getting to the entrance.
Loving, caring staff. The let me rest a lot. Doctors and people in charge are very knowledgeable, professional, and respectful. LOVED all of my helpful, happy nurses!
I had my bronchoscopy done there. The nurses were great. My doctor explained step by step and reviewed his findings during the procedure right afterwards. Even offered to speak with my husband before my next surgery. Just waiting on the pathology results.
Anesthesia needs to pay more attention to their patient's complaints. If a patient requests a blood patch for a spinal headache after childbirth, don't medicate them with a narcotic. As a nurse myself, I was horrified at the way anesthesia treated my sister. She's NOT a drug seeker.
The doctors and nurses have treated my Husband who slipped on a patch of ice and broke his leg in two places excellent. The nurses are very helpful and even though the hospital is packed because of other injuries from the snow storm he isn't being neglected when he buzzes them. They have done everything they can to make him comfortable until he has his surgery.
So went into the emergency room with a friend today who is a 50+ male having chest pains. The lady at the front check in was so annoyed they took him back quickly and she didn't get his last 4 of his social before they took him back she rolled her Eyes and said this is why I don't know why they take them back before I get The information... I said because he felt like he was having a heart attack. She then rolled her eyes again and said we'll do you have his address?? I had his medical card and license so yes and she got up ... read more
