Dr. Hartzler is typical of the doctors at OrthoArizona. (I currently see three of them for different needs). They're all exceptional physicians. Hartzler specifically has a lot of compassion for my condition. He's helping me to avoid surgical intervention as long as possible by using medication, for which I am very grateful.

He really cares about his patients and family. Takes the time to answer questions. I also like his PA Kristen. I have been going to Dr Hartzler for many years. I will continue as long as he is practicing.

My concerns and understanding regarding shots. I’ve been through a lot and nervous. I was completely understood and not felt bad about it. We’ve known Dr Hartzler for years. His PA & student PA were wonderful.

Initially went to Dr. Hartzler to receive cortisone shots and then gel shots in my knee in an attempt to avoid or postpone surgery. After the disappointment of them not working for me we discussed a different plan of action which consisted of an MRI. The MRI showed that a total knee replacement was necessary. Dr. Hartzler is such a good listener and easy to talk to. So glad that Dr. Hartzler performed my total knee replacement. His PA, Kristen Bilstad, is also an asset to the team. His entire staff is very professional.

I went to OrthoArizona about 4 years ago for my hip pain, that’s when we met Dr. Hartzler and his amazing PA and other staff. I had dislocated my hip in a Motocross accident (2014) and needed a hip replacement at that time however the providers attending to me were not able to remove my femur rod that was put in place in 2004 from even another Motocross accident. Therefore, they had to put humpty dumpty back together again the best they could with the understanding at some point, would need the femur rod removed and then the... read more
