I agree with Bubba, the customer service is a joke. I was almost part of the Wells Fargo to Flagstar merger. I was also a victim of the 2018 flooding in Wisconsin. Needless to say I did not realize until 3 days prior to the merger that my accounts with Wells Fargo were going to be sent to Flagstar bank. In order to prevent this, I drove to my local Wells Fargo, paid off all my debts, and closed ALL of my accounts, then opened new Wells Fargo accounts in the state I currently live in. About 1 month later, I start getting bill... read more

This is the worst bank. Ever! My mortgage was transferred to this company with an inflated escrow amount. I reached out to them (Caliber Home Loans) and they told me to notify Flagstar. I did that and was asked to send proof that the escrow amount was estimated wrong. I sent my last tax information (which they already had) but they refused to adjust it. On yesterday, I called and told them I sent the amount that my payment should be and the nasty woman on the other end, response was "They're not taking anything but the full ... read more

Flagstar Bank not only paid property taxes on our home, but paid on another property we own that they do not have economic interest in nor do you hold escrow. This created an escrow shortage on our account and sent our payments higher. They had no right to release the funds for property taxes on the other property. We had already paid those property taxes too. We are asking that they correct their grievous error. This is a violation of escrow law. We called them and they do not care and could not provide a reason for the vio... read more

I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with this so called bank! It took me 3 months to get an actual human on the phone. When I finally did the real horror started. You never get to speak to the same person regarding your situation, so it's like starting all over each and every time. They do not return phone calls, do not give you all the information you need at one time. I was trying to do a mortgage modification and every couple of days they added a new piece of paperwork they needed. I finally resorted to asking to spea... read more

After working with R M agent for a week and kept asking me for all these Tax forms and printing and signing papers which cost a lot of time and money on FedEx!! After a week of sending papers and printing and signing papers, he told me that my house is multi-unit and they cant do it. the agent wasn't paying attention to me or didn't even read the documents I sent or he doesn't have experience with it but both scenarios look very bad. avoid working with this company as they will waste your time and money for nothing. Stay awa... read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They are so bad they don't even deserve 1 star. Ongoing issue that I have spent 4-5 months trying get resolved. Each phone call last an average of 45 minutes, every time they say call back in a few days to check on the status and every time I call back, they say there are no notes in our record! All because they purchased a flood insurance policy on our property even though I sent in all the proper documentation multiple times showing that we are NOT in a SFHA. I even poke to a manager w... read more

They have taken over my mortgage, and in the last 17 months. They have mishandled my account 4 time with different events. Mishandling of account payment in 8-18, wrong placement of my home insurance 7-19, wrong placement of my escrow money 9-19, and now cashing of my payment and losing it.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY EVER My house sold on July 23, 2019. Flagstar received their money and supposedly sent me my refund check from my escrow account. The check was returned and they never sent us another or contacted us. So far after 71 days I am still fighting to get my money back from them. Last week an employee told us the check was mailed and we would get it in a few days. Based on this information we moved into an apartment expecting to use the money for our first rent and deposits. After moving in we f... read more
