If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had no previous experience with this bank but unfortunately my auto loan was at a Northern Wells Fargo that was purchased by Flagstar. Since I had no experience with this bank I had no good or bad expectations. Every time I call it takes 5-6 transfers to get to the correct department and those who are transferring you are not educated in the terminology needed for loans. I asked 4 different people if they could see if I had Gap insurance and 3 of them weren't sure what it was and transferr... read more

I will update. After a long period of time I found a representative that actually found the correct department and I am now making progress with my request. The representative agreed that the number of transfers and individuals who did not know where to send me was poor business and said she would proceed with communicating the issues to management.
Flagstar is ridiculous, they literally harass me all day and call and send mail nonstop! The voicemail they leave are completely inappropriate, and unprofessional. My morgage was sold to them from my previous bank without my permission. They need to stop harassing me it's such a headache.

DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER DO BUSINESS WITH FLAGSTAR BANK!!! Only after getting hit by their lousy customer service and their shady techniques I learned about what they did to other customers and read all the reviews about them. In 2018 the country made an error on my taxes and as a result my tax payment changed. I filed a review request with the county and after 2 months they acknowledge the mistake and sent a refund check to Flagstar. In the meantime, I kept making regular payments to Flagstar. Do Not Do Business With This Bank!!! This is the worst bank we have ever been in contact with. They are so shady. They have cashed my check late every month I sent a check. In fact, I have sent two different checks in the same envelope, and one got cashed on time, and the other two weeks later, and we got yet another late fee assigned.
