The Old Homestead Steak House first opened in 1868 and it remains a straightforward, old-fashioned steakhouse without sacrificing any of the modern amenities. In this sense, thankfully, it is no longer that difficult to get Kobe beef from Japan, which probably wasn't on the menu in 1868. Most of the dishes are priced in the higher range, but are well worth your money.

Very very pricey but so worth it!! Calamari was awesome!! Steak mouthwatering!
Great steak.. loved the place!! The waiter was great and the service was awesome. The 40 day aged steak for two was huge. Would come back with no hesitation.
The most horrible experience, service was bad they never brought the steak sauce I asked for my steak, how do you forget steak sauce in a steakhouse? The people there were so loud a roudy we had to get up and ask for the check. The most horrible experience never again!!!

It was a great experience to be able to eat at one of the oldest steak house in NYC it was the best Kobe burger ! Service was good! PleAsed to have been there!
Overpriced and poor quality. Many around me were sending their food back for being cooked wrong. Fine dining prices with cheap dining food. Service was excellent but the meal wasn't
The service was horrible, the waiters were extremely nasty and condisending the food was cold and their excuse was that the kitchen was on the first floor and we were seated on the third floor not what we expected at all never recommend it to anyone
