The Old Homestead Steak House first opened in 1868 and it remains a straightforward, old-fashioned steakhouse without sacrificing any of the modern amenities. In this sense, thankfully, it is no longer that difficult to get Kobe beef from Japan, which probably wasn't on the menu in 1868. Most of the dishes are priced in the higher range, but are well worth your money.

Food was excellent. Staff could not have been nicer....
NYE early dinner. Friendly staff, filet was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Oysters were fresh and delicious! Waiter told us that last week a customer found a large black pearl in one of his oysters! Haven't been here in over 20 years. I'll be back more frequently!
Awesome. Loved it. The bartender there on Friday night was both sociable and had a great understanding of both food and wine pairings. Conversation with her made dinner complete.
