So I was at the VA until I talked to the 3 guys that were there before me. 1 had been there for 13 hrs, one was there for 7 and the other for 4. None of them had even talked to a doctor. Only the triage nurses.so I left. Mind you this was the emergency room. A week before it took an hour and a half to fill 1 prescription. The time before that my primary care doctor refused to even try to treat me because my x-rays didn't show anything. Of course x-rays show everything that could be wrong with you. My Doctor will not give me a consult for Ortho. Ortho will not see me without a consult. I went to the ER and they refused helping me. I sat in the waiting room for 4 hours just to be taken to a room and set for 2 hours. Just to not get any help. Walked out and never had seen a ER doctor.

We have had our son up here all weekend for surgery and recovery. He has received great care and the staff has been quite helpful to the family as well. Thank you!!

The VA hospitals are not one. I went in today only to be told there are people with more important issues than me. I just moved from Virginia Beach back to oklahoma and was told they can't see ANY of my medicine from Virginia va hospital. I see doctors and nurses walking around doing nothing so it's really hard not to be upset over the time. Something has to stop. I guess local news needs to get on this! I will be contacting my senator since the Oklahoma VA director could care less on how vets are being treated. Whoever you ... read more

Avoid Dr Yao in B Module at all costs. She will do whatever it takes to make veterans feel their problems are psychoamtic. She does not care and her nickname among vets is Dragon Lady.

I've never had a problem with the va services. The ER is a totally different story. Walk ins to your PCM is about the same wait as the ER. The staff is great though and I appreciate all the hard work they do for us veterans!

My brother Johnie received excellent care while in the MICU in December. He was seen immediately in the ER when he presented with problems breathing. Although he could not overcome the illness that put him in the hospital all the staff worked hard trying to help him get better. Dr. Kellie Jones and her staff were very attentive and caring. Kristal Powell of the Respiratory Department was so upbeat and positive. Social Worker Yvonne Rhoads was very helpful. The nurses were very skilled and took pride in their jobs. The OKC VA Medical Center has saved my husbands life on 3 different times in the last 2 years. Hospital staff, nurses and physicians are top notch here. We will be forever thankful to every team we have worked with. Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, Vascular. MICU, SICU, ER Dept, 7 North, 5 North, 6 North, Surgery Dept and Intervention Radiology.

This was Dad's second visit....the one to FINALLY be fitted for his hi-tech hearing aids he should have had well over 20 years ago . Both appoiments we've had were quick and to the point. Afterwards, we are at the cafeteria . Everyone was extremely helpful and courteous. Definitely NOT what I was expecting. Thanks to everyone who assisted us in every way!!! You're GGRREEEAAAATTTTTT!!!!!
