I'm sitting in the front lobby and it stinks like a gymnasium in here. No ventilation and stuffy. They need to wall up the Windows on this hallway for better insulation. Health care is minimal due to policy of denial but not in writing.
Took my brother 4 weeks to get an appointment with his pain management doctor. Than*k goodness he had Neurolumen to keep his pain under control, he almost cancelled but he went anyways to be handed a script and offered PT. He asked why they weren't prescribing the Neurolumen and the doctor said it's not on his list. My brother asked how to get it on the list because he was going to have to give it back and the doctor shrugged and walked away. How can you just turn your back on something that works? Emergency room is absolutely horrible. . 4 hrs wait time for a horse fly bite? Seriously??!!! And thats just to get called back to be put in another room to wait. I'm sure that patient is going to have to wait even longer.. as far as us.. well its been an all night ordeal.. broken elbow hmm let's say from 6 pm til 330am.. we waited. And waited and waited.. oh finally get a call back to get x-rays.. ya confirmed broken it's 5am and still nothing.. sorry excuse.. there's Only 1 dr on duty....
The Prosthetics Department really sucks! They are so incredibly slow, it's not funny. Checked in at 1214 with number 40. They called number 23 at 1230 and no one since. It is now 130. I am leaving.
Been sitting in the ER waiting room since 6:15ish tonight and still haven't been seen yet. One Doctor for the entire ER is a little understaffed don't you think? I have heard more complaints this evening by Vets, than I ever have before.
4 months ago I called in to inform my drug dealer that I've been experiencing side effects from my medication and the nurses hung up on me after talking to each other for a minute or two. I called back and requested a call back that, of course, never came. 3 weeks ago I called in to get my sleeping pills renewed and the nurse never sent the note to the dealer. I want to THANK the wonderful people at VA Hospital in Oklahoma City, Radiology/MRI department. I am suffering a very painful shoulder injury. These people showed compassion & true care. On the first attempt to image my shoulder I could not stay still enough because the pain had me crying. They pulled me out, allowed me to take some medication & the time for it to kick in. They then worked quickly on the 2nd attempt & encouraged me through the procedure. It was still painful & I was never so happy to be pulled from that mach... read more
