I recently lost my dog of 16 an 1/2 years. Over the years when I have had a serious emergency....Ocean Stae Veternarians and the staff saved Max's life not once but twice.....this last visit was heartbreaking. But the staff were so loving and caring and made the hard process bearable. I would highly recommend Ocean State Veterinary Specialists to anyone. TRULY A CARING ENVIRONMENT!!!

Well it was cancer and they found out after the surgery and the biopsy that it was an aggressive form of cancer, $6000 later, Angel came home with a feeding tube and white gums. He came hone to die. BV paid 5000 out of his 6000 bill and when he asked to pay the rest by a payment plan, THEY THREATENED TO WITHHOLD HIS PAIN MEDS. THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY AH... read more

No words to express the lack of empathy for the 4 legged furry baby, or the lack of compassion for its owners....All about the money $$$$$$. . Beware there are other places to go that actually care about your animal not the money
It's nothing short of a miracle center! Dr Spellman leads a great exotics staff and is amazing.
Gave me very little hope on saving my dog, told me it would be 4,900 for her uterus to be removed & told me she still might not make it & that I shouldn't take her home. Well I did make the decision to take her home and had the surgery performed by Coventry vet 4 hours later for under 1,000 & they were absolutely awesome & so optimistic. I'll never step foot back in ocean state. They take complete advantage of people & they should be ashamed. The deposit they wanted from me was 3x More than the surgury, meds & biopsy alone a... read more
