It was a great experiance. My girlfriend and I took a tour bought through expedia concluding the Laura plantation, they pick you up from your hotel if you stay at the french quarter, a swamp ride and lunch. "Tours by Isabelle" . It was a great value we totally recommend for you to do it. Breath taking place.

We have never visited a Plantation before. I think we might have gotten lucky having this one be our first. The house, grounds, people, and best of all - our cottage room #9 was amazing! Wish we lived closer, we'd visit more often.

Oak alley really worths seeing. The atmosphere on your way to the big house cannot be described by words. The only little disappointing thing for me was that the entering groups were too big and everything happened on a rush because we should stay on large spots in the house so that everyone could hear the guide. When he was explaining what happened in one room, why particular objects were there and so on we actually could not see it. But the view is really breathtaking !
