Beautiful grounds but kinda boring. Restaurant and gift shop lacking. 22 bucks doesnt sound pricey but for guiding yourself around most the time im not sure what we paid for

This plantation is absolutely breathtaking with the 300 year old oak trees. It is a self guided tour of the slave quarters and the tour of the house is more about the high society life of those that lived there. Would recommend just for its beauty however if you want more about the slaves and their impact not this plantation

Group tour with Tour Guide Jacob went well but the SUPERSTAR was August, the historian by the slave quarters! He was thorough, informative and answered all my questions about the plantation. August even answered questions I had about growing up in Louisiana, Katrina aftermath, and the university education system in the state! August earns an A+
