Amazing staff in NICU, doctors, nurses (except for 2), janitors and security. My preemie has been there for over 3 months and everyone has been extraordinary. I couldn't ask for a better hospital. Even giving birth there with all I was going through was a good experience.
Our stay here this week as by far been the worst. We travel in from Florida to see my sons neurologist who we love but I have never been so unhappy with a hospital as I am with NYU right now. How hard is it to fix the window shade so it closes and the lights from the buildings don't keep you up all night, how hard is it for people to close the door to the room when they leave like we have asked, why do they need to empty the trash bins and slam the lids waking up my son at 9:45pm, why do they expect cosharing to work with ot... read more
It's a good hospital everyone is doing the best they can to make you feel better and they take good care of your needs. At your convenience of your appointments they attend to you as soon as possible.
They bought Huntington Medical Group and have promptly ruined it. Pediatrician referred us to Pediatric Neurologist in the practice. No Appointments available for FIVE MONTHS. Unbelievable. Unacceptable.
I think the billing department is a disgrace. It's not bad enough that healthcare today is impossible to afford, despite the ACA, but then after being ill you have to deal with a billing department who puts you through the ringer because they are completely incompetent. I have been waiting for a bill adjustment for 4 months, still haven't gotten it. In the interim, my account ended up in collections. I was vigilant with doing everything on my part to avoid this. Stay away from Dr. Christian J Hirsch! My mother was scheduled for colonoscopy. He was late for appointment for 1 hr and 45 min while she was laying prepared with IV line on the table!! So unprofessional!! And didn't even apologize! Just asked "are you OK"? How rude is that??!! This was at the Brooklyn's east 14th office. They do have nice staff but get rid of this unprofessional doctor!!
