SO last night I was refused treatment by my doctors medical assistant. I spoke with my doctor and he told me to come in because I was having a headache with elevated blood pressure. Went to the office and the medical assistant refused to get the doctor and she told me he told her I was to come make an appointment. After I left my doctor called to see if I was okay and if I was coming. I told him what happened. Never thought I would be refused treatment. Love my doctor but I will no longer deal with the staff. I worked for them for thirteen years, as a registered nurse. I became disabled as of December of 2017 and have been out on disability. I received a call from my neurologist this past Monday, August 6th, that my insurance had been cancelled by my employer. I received a letter in the mail later that day that stated that NYULMHC had terminated my employment as of June 28th. No one ever called me to tell me or give me options. I was never warned. Horrible billing. Over a year of being billed for an office visit they were paid for. I get a patient relations person saying - you won’t see this again. All taken care of after a year. So sorry. The call center based in Florida for New York offices are a JOKE. Gave me an appointment with a doctor that wasn’t mine in a department that this office isn’t a part of. “Better health and better care” means not having aggravation because they’re outsourcing office flow to another state and then the office has no clue why you were told you were given another doctor and another appointment. Let the office staff take care of their own patients!!!!
Best Hospital for Orthopedic Surgery- Spine Center Dr. John Bendo and his staff were awesome... He did my lower back Spinal fusion a few years back and thanks to him I have never had the excruciating pain I used to have and have been able to live a normal some what painless life. Thank YOU !
