Best pizza in town – Devon Chase can make a mean pizza. She is so innovative with her ingredients but yet so faithful to the classics. I wish it was next door to my house, actually no, if it was next door I would be a blimp by now. Big ups to Nostrana and their lovely food. Oh, the waitstaff is always pleasant. A big plus in my book.
uninspiring pizza – my boyfriend got something else and loved it, but the pizza was nothing like what I expected. With a wood burning stove and all I expected more than canned tomato taste in my mouth every bite. Just not cool. If I had to pay instead of our host I think I would have complained and I am really not the type to make a fuss.
Hate to put 5 stars, as I want to keep this place a secret! – Nostrana is a visionary culinary experience. Kudos to the chef for amazing, creative dishes that make life a little more pleasurable. I know this place has been around for some time, but we just found it on a dine out card program we belong to. Thank goodness, it's our new favorite place, so we will be returning often. Authentic, Inspired Italian Food No American Italian food here--this is the real deal--delicious inspired trattoria style intalian fare--try the wood fire pizzas--you will not be dissapointed--great for lunch or a nice dinner out--excellent
GOOD BREAD, OK FOOD, SLOOOOW SERVICE! – As I heard, the bread was good. The taste of pizza, salad, pasta was ok....not spectacular. The server was sooooo sloooooow!!!!! It was weekday lunch time....then there were only 3 waiters!!! Come on! Over priced, too. I don't think I will go back. I know better taste,better service and better price in Portland.
Very deserving of 5 STARS! – This place is great. We never heard of Nostrana (since we live on the W side) and thanks to our passport dining card, we gave it a try. The food is superb! Rockfish and skirt steak were to die for...flavors of Italy and local ingredients. It was the best meal I've had in months! Horrible Customer Service – We went to Nostrana for the first time and were completely disappointed. First, when we asked for more information on a type of wine, the waiter was extremely rude, short, pretentious and unhelpful - basically making us feel like we asked a really stupid question (in reality, I just don't think he knew the answer). This place BITES. Stay away!!! – Bad food and extraordinarily bad service. We had a gift certificate to use and were excited to try this after hearing so many good things, and boy was this a let down. Great Attentive Service and items from Scratch – Me and my guy walked into an open front restaurant and into a beautiful large high timber ceiling room that transported us out of a 'strip mall' and into a great evening for us.
