I had surgery on my top and lower jaws Wednesday August 7th. I have been planning the surgery for almost 2 years, working with insurance and work... i finally had it done. I like the UNC Health Care as they have good service to take care of you; however, my only issue is the costs that you all charge for the ER. We had to take my son to the ER because he was in car wreck and he need to be checked out. Well, after taking his blood pressure, height, weight and then a few minute visual look over by the PA, he was released, total bill was $500 just for the triage of his height weight and blood pressure (this was also per the billing department when I called). I have now been twice, they are extremely behind schedule for the procedures and the prep and follow up nurses are nice but the ones I encountered this time in the procedure room were not and a few more things happened I cant get into on Facebook.
My brother was very sick and went to the emergency dept. and had to wait so long he finally left and was never even seen. But while he was waiting some very loud hispanic girls came in laughing and being rude and they took them straight back. Of course giving these people special treatment! Don''t go here unless your hispanic. I guess they're special here.
RecommendedThe parking is great and you don't have to pay for it! You don't need a shuttle to get from the parking area to the building! It doesn't feel like you are part of an assembly line.
UNC has decent medical care but their billing department is the worst!!!!!!!! For over a year I had a bill they kept claiming they filed and never did and then I finally talked to someone competent who actually did it. But for a whole year I had a 4000 bill they were going to make me pay!!! Then this week they sent me a check for $10 and said I over paid and I cashed it and now I got a bill for $10!!! Wtf!!!!! Get your stuff right!!!
