If I could leave a negative star rating I would but it wont let me This place is horrible. Been out with kidney stones since March, claims didnt start till May for some reason. This company is thr flipping most worthless company ever. I had to ho on long term because of covid. It took them forever to do the claim and now they are saying I owe them what they paid me. It is a bunch of **** They change the claim person every month so you have to try to explain and send more flipping paperwork in and then they don't believe the paperwork you send in. I have been paying in to this company for 20 years. DO NOT USE THIS STUPID COMPANY THEY ARE WORTHLESS.
I have been waiting for my first check for a month (and now have to pay a **** to cover my family benefits since payroll didnt get funds). I just have a name and number for the claims manager. Im now entering into an extended time due to radiation after surgery. Im living off retirement funds. My HSA is depleted since I have no income to deduct. In December 2021, I went out on Short Term Disability (STD) for mental health. My STD would be up on June 4th. My STD is run by the company. At the end of March 2022, my company sent me paperwork to file my long term disability ***** claim with New York Life. I was told to apply and get started immediately as it can take a while to be approved. Ive been trying to file a short term disability claim since April and everything that couldve possibly gone wrong went wrong. First of all, the agent who initially opened the claim got the type of claim, my first AND last name and my company name incorrect. I cant help but think that it was done on purpose since she asked me to file the claim online and I refused. I have been waiting months for my STD. Case Manager always tell me she will call me back and never does. I have yet to receive payment. Case Manager advise me she had my pay stubs and it has be 3 weeks and they have yet to calculate my payment. Im facing eviction because of these ppl. You call and the advocates no nothing.
First off, it takes anywhere from 40min-2hrs to get ahold of anyone. Ive tried calling my leave manager multiple times and left messages and she never calls back-*******! I am a nurse and broke my ankle so obviously I am not able to return work until it fully heals since Im on my feet all shift. They put a start date of my leave for the very next day after my last day worked (5/6/2022) rather than from the date of injury (5/7/2022) or the date I wouldve worked my next shift after Injury (5/11/2022). I'm still dealing with confusion and forgetfulness, so I apologize in advance if I make a mistake.***** was the company providing short term disability insurance I had at work, but they were bought out by New York Life.
