I had a very frustrating experience with New York Life. After canceling my policy, I was told I would receive a refund, but I only received part of it and never got the rest. I called multiple times and spoke with the surrender team and solutions department, but nobody wanted to take responsibility or help resolve the issue. I am not going to take a lot of time typing out a long story because there are dozens on here that sound just like mine. I was initially approved when I became sick and could not work, but they only approved me up to my next scheduled Doctor's appointment instead of the estimated recovery date that my doctor provided. I had some difficulty getting my Doctor to fill out and return the following appointment. So there was a delay in re approving my disability claim. Horrible company. Im about to lose my car, my livelihood everything because they drag their feet. Need more paperwork, then send to the doctor, then the company, then back to the doctor, then the case manager is out. Then they dont send you the paperwork you need. I am struggling and dont know what to do. I was just told my case manager is out till Monday and no one can help me but when she comes back she will review my paperwork and then if everything is there she will send it back to my doctor for them to approve. I have sent in paperwork and spoke with these people several times to get my dad set up on auto pay. Not one time have a connected with someone who speaks English at this company. Not one phone call or set of paperwork filled out has accomplished a thing. I feel this company takes advantage of the elderly and makes it near impossible to accomplish anything by phone or by mail. To top it off my father is hearing impaired and I have to call on his behalf which makes things near impossible to accomplish. The website was not any... read more
This company has put my life in jeopardy more than 1 they pick and choose if they want to pay that month or not and yet get away with whatever they feellike.... I now have to get an attorney to sue them for damages caused by there lack of humanity and judgement. We regret that the customer had a poor experience with our **********************. Working with New York Life has been the worst experience Ive ever dealt with. I have not received a payment since June. All my medical records from my provider have been sent in but I keep getting told everything is under review. Ive requested multiple call backs from my claim manager as well as the senior manager. At this point its call avoidance because every time I call, theyre out of the office or helping another customer. I am having same problem with New York life, my doctor sent in requested documentation 3 times. I am on **** 4 e months for hand surgery they received initial documentation for this and only approved my claim for 2 weeks. They requested more documentation after my surgery my doctors office sent it in 4 days in a row and they continue to say they havent received it.
