So, so good. Really good Indian food is a divine, truly. I've had a lot of middling Indian food lately and this was not that. This was really good. My BF and I started with hot naan that was soft and delicious. it came with mint and tamarind chutney. Then I had the chicken korma and he had the lamb vindaloo. We split rice, saag paneer and tamarind eggplant. Everything was served family style, so we were able to share and still had leftovers for the next day. We wrapped up the meal with amazingly good chai tea and sweet dough... read more

Great food and bread I am a consultant and I keep traveling a lot. I have been to a lot of Indian restaurants even in my home town (St Louis), but this is the best Indian food I have had since I have been in the US (since last two and half years now). I am a food lover and I try out various dishes. I ordered three different dishes to test the consistency of the food preparation and I would like to give 10/10 for the all the entries prepared. I am here every week now in San Francisco and I am not disappointed at all.

Good for my family Wonderfully diverse menu and fantastic service. My husband and I had Chicken Korma and a lamb dish. Both were excellent. Our kids enjoyed the chili pakoras and samosas. We all shared the Garlic Naan and Kheer (rice pudding).

Delicious! My boyfriend and I came here for dinner. What everyone is writing about the service and the food is absolutely correct. The owner and chefs make food with love. You can actually taste the freshness and heart that goes into making this experience a positive one.

Good food and bar My #1 Indian restaurant. An absolute go-to whenever I get to SF. Love the Union Square location, the atmosphere, and a better-than-average booze selection. Most Indian places aren't known for their bars, but this one is well-stocked - and very nice to hang out in, as well.

Indian food and booze ! What's not to love? Love this place - mostly because I love Indian food and cocktails. But I needed to seat about 8 people of varying conflicting diets and not only did they take my reservation on short notice, but the staff was great about explaining the dishes and making sure the meat stuff was far from the vegan stuff and everyone had all the nan they could handle - except the gluten-free person. ;-} Great food and a great evening. I'll definitely be back again!

Yay Spicy! New Delhi gets four stars just for having ghost chili sauce. Just so you understand how excited I am/was, let me repeat: GHOST CHILI. Got it? Good.

A great evening! My girlfriend and I along with some friends visited New Delhi Restaurant. Food was really excellent and the service was quick. The ambiance was good and altogether it was an enjoyable experience. We had the rogan josh - a rich spicy lamb curry - and the chicken korma, which is a much more mild, creamy dish. We had rice and nan with dinner and pakoras with chutney to start. Everything was delicious and the spices were well-balanced. Definitely be back.
