I have been with netspend for years. Mu account was closed 4 weeks ago and i still have not received my funds. Everytime i call customer service they state the check has been mailed off. But they won't provide me a date of when it was mailed. And when i call to check my balance my full balance is still in my account. I received a NetSpend card in the mail which I did not ask for. It even had my first name incorrect. They used my nickname not the name I use on for legal reasons. I e-mailed them : Subject Did not order card. From To netspend.com Date Thu 13:19 This seems like a real scam based thing run from a list. I do not use AMT type cards at all and have three credit cards in good standing. This company should not have a right to send in the mail things not ordered by the home owner!

I just got off the phone for the third time, and several e-mails later, I still have not gotten my money refunded to my account. I was told on the 9th that my money would be fully refunded by end of day. Today when I called I was told my money will be refunded to my account in 30 days. They have the documentation they requested from me to release these funds. It states right on their documents letter that they will accept an invoice from the merchant if a letter is not available. If I could give it a negative star, it would get 5 NEGATIVE stars. RUN FROM THIS ! The CSRs are incompetent and the automated system is pathetic! I talked to the supervisor named Mary and she hung up on me.
DO NOT USE THIS CARD!! After 6 + years my account was abruptly closed without notice. The money in my account has not been returned to me. I was told 7-10 business days and it has been a month and a half!

This business has an extremally shady business model of buying people's data and then just sending people cards in hopes that they sign up to their service. Mine went instantly into the shredder and if you get one of their cards in the mail, shred it or burn it. No genuine company would BUY peoples data then send them credit cards. Their letters even include spam advertisements.

I was going to leave what I thought was a unique review ,but boy was I wrong. all these complaints are so similar to each other and especially to mine that it makes me wonder why actions haven't been taken against this fraud filled company of charlatans. Act like you don't see the one star I'm actually giving none. This card was sent to me without my permission but i said ok l can use this to play my games online. Well that was a mistake. I loaded 240 dollars on the card and only used 120. When I went to use the other 120 it was gone. I called immediately thank God from reading the stories on here they were gonna try to send my money somewhere else too. I live in Iowa and over a two day time span $1990 was taken out of my Netspend account, these withdrawals came from Victoria Australia. If you do not know Victoria Australia is on lockdown right now and many people are without jobs. I have done some Netspend research and they are selling their customers information overseas.
