Even though I reserved a car in advance, the car that they had was filthy. I had to run the wipers multiple times before I could see out the windshield. There were no other cars to choose from and the national representative did not offer us any alternatives when I said we did not want this car.

I've never used a car rental on a trip, but had an Emerald Club membership through my employer. When we planned our 13-year-overdue vacation, I used National just because I already had that membership & I'm so glad I did! We had alot to do in just a few days, so I didn't need any surprises or snags to slow us down. I didn't know what to expect, but getting into our car & out of the Orlando airport was super quick and easy! I have used National as my rental car agency on business trips for years. The staff is usually friendly, courteous and responsive. As an Emerald Club member there is usually a good selection of cars to choose from and it's nice being able to go straight to the car, load the luggage and drive. Returning the car is a breeze and if there is no one around, such as early morning at Norvolk Airport, they just send you the receipt on line. I would reccommend National to anyone!

We reserved our car using the National website. As Emerald Club members, rental is easy and pick up a breeze. A friendly National representative directed us to the Emerald Aisle as soon as we appeared and we chose our car. As rentals were taken, new ones would appear. Checkout was fast, as was our return. The only comment I have that may help others is that return signage was a bit confusing as is there is a single return station when you rent through National, Enterprise, and Alamo, with unclear signs. Customer service rep has given me a wrong info about toll policy. Had to pay extra toll myself. Called on the phone, asked that at least they wave portion of toll profit that they make on top of actual toll. No, with tone of voice that also conveyed "we don't care much about your business". BTW, I am business traveler who literally spent many months driving National vehicles.

I made the reservation using my National App without any issues. Arrived at the Orlando airport and went straight to the aisle and picked the truck of my choice. Truck handling was very smooth and an excellent driving experience. What more can I ask for? Thanks National, you guys Rock!!
